A little black blazer for summer and beyond

Lea Michele works the summer blazer, via Instagram

In the summer I ditch the coat but I still like a jacket that's smart enough for work. The fail-safe piece that I rely on time and again is a black fitted blazer or tux-style jacket. The best thing about this multi-tasking jacket is that it works for day or evening, work or weekends. Team it with jeans and a white tee to keep things casual or with a leather skirt for Friday night. It's perfectly professional too so it ticks the box for big meetings or job interviews when worn with a chic shift dress or tailored trousers.

My current jacket was about £50 from M&S and has two leather-look panels which bring it nicely up to date. Before that I had been wearing a jacket I bought in the sale from George at ASDA for £9 - it lasted me years and years and washed really well which both surprised and pleased me in equal measure.

Now I'm looking for a new one, hence the idea for this post, and here are a few contenders (and a couple that would only feature in my dream closet due to the designer price tags). Take a look below, and scroll to the bottom for some style tips too...

Blazer With Elbow Patches - Zara - £39.99 (was £59.99)

TOP TIPS...
  • Avoid double breasted styles if you're curvy up top, they tend to add the appearance of extra width
  • 1-button styles are great for accentuating the waist
  • If going casual, leave your blazer unbuttoned - rolling the sleeves up once can also look nice
  • Looking for a fashion edge? Opt for a black blazer with another texture such as jacquard or leather

Q&A with La Paire founder Amy La

It's been a little while since we had a Q&A on The Style PA but I am really keen to share and support independent boutique owners and other bloggers. This time round it's shoe-lover and La Paire founder Amy La's turn to share some style wisdom and top shoe picks - I love the emerald green Sophia sandals!

Tell us a bit about yourself?
I'm originally from Sydney and moved to London over 7-years ago. After graduating with a communications degree, I worked in finance for a couple of years then moved into buying and was lucky enough to work for the luxury department stores David Jones in Australia and Selfridges in London. I LOVE food (both eating & cooking it), summer holidays, photography and of course, shoes!

Why did you start La Paire?
It all started when I couldn’t find a nice comfortable pair of summer sandals one year. Even though I struggled in previous years I always managed to find something but I couldn’t this time and that was my light-bulb moment! I realised there was a gap in the market for colourful, well-made, quality, all-leather sandals and decided to start my own shoe label. There’s so much choice when it comes to high-heel shoes but not for flat sandals.

What inspires you?
Lots of things inspire me…it could be anything from a colour or pattern to an artwork or a place, and I love bright colours. My first collection was inspired by the latter as well as memories from summer holidays, while the designs from the current collection drew heavily from the city of Rome – its architecture, patterns and motifs. I'm always looking for ideas and inspiration for future designs so regularly buy magazines and books which is now taking up a lot of space!

Sophia sandals from the Roman Holiday collection
What is your favourite trend of the moment?
I'm loving metallics, particularly mirrored-silver shoes and bags. I also love the femininity and soft pastels of the floral trend.

If you had to wear just one fashion designer's clothes for life, who would it be?
That's a difficult one as I don't have just one favourite designer – I love Isabel Marant's left-bank chic, Chloe's simple feminine pieces and Valentino's beautiful dresses and gowns. Combine all three designers and I would have a complete wardrobe that covers every occasion.

What has been your biggest ever bargain?
My pink Prada wallet which I bought for about £100!

And what has been your biggest ever splurge?
I went through a phase of buying a designer handbag once a year. That was a few years ago now and I've stopped since but I would say that that has been my biggest splurge to date.

What do you collect?
Instead of handbags, I now collect books. I love all sorts of books - from novels to fashion, interior design and photographic books. I'm quite old-school and just love the feel of them, the act of flipping through the pages and how it fills up my bookshelf. I hope that they never stop printing books!

Which celebrity would you love to dress and why?
I would have loved to dress Audrey Hepburn. She had impeccable taste and was so chic. Her style was quite simple but elegant and timeless, just like our sandals. I just love the fashion from the 1950's era.

Which celebrity do you think has the best style?
I love Diane Kruger's style – whether casual or formal, she always looks very cool and understated. I think one of her best fashion moments was that gorgeous pale-mint gown she wore to Cannes in 2012.

Florus snakeskin print sandal
What shoes would you wear on a first date?
That would depend on where we're going or what we'll be doing. If it's dinner at a nice restaurant then I'd probably dress up my outfit with our Florus wedge – the snakeskin print leather is so versatile and can be worn from day through to night. Otherwise if it were a casual occasion like a picnic then I'd definitely where flat sandals, most likely the Verano in turquoise as I think it's quite sexy and I love the bright hue.

What's your ultimate style tip? Find styles and types of clothes that suit your body shape, and colours that suit your skin tone. Once you've got these basics right, you'll be able to build up a fabulous wardrobe.

3 ways to wear double denim now

Reading through my emails this week I stumbled upon an message from a new reader looking for some fresh ideas for wearing her denim.

Question
I am in my twenties (or 30 next to be fair) and I very rarely venture out of jeans, blue, black, colour washes and patterned, I love my jeans (I champion 7 for all mankind currently), but... how do I wear 'double denim' and pull it off without looking like a wannabe cow girl or teenager? Thanks, Rachel.

Denim is a bit of a style saviour, but it's easy to get in a rut and look to it purely as a fail-safe, casual option. There are plenty more opportunities to work denim in though, whether for work, weekend or evening. I've suggested three different ways to wear double denim right now to give Rachel, and the rest of us, some style inspiration. How do you wear double denim and which of the below is your favourite look?

Double Denim: Skinny & Slouchy

Double Denim: Light & Dark

Double Denim: Nude & Neon

Sensible summer sandals for the win

It's summer and sandals have become my staple footwear choice. My biggest issue though is finding sandals which really are comfortable enough to wear to work. I have to bolt it down a steep hill to the station most days, so comfortable shoes are a must. My new shoe delivery from Sarenza has arrived and I love the bold neon trim contrasted against the neutral, patent upper. The shoes pictured are by Mellow Yellow which is one of my faves.

Best of all, these shoes have heel that I can last the whole day in. The sturdy block-heel is just the thing to keep me looking smart enough for the office in summer, but without leaving me in pain. If only the floods hadn't swept in this week. I'd quite like a chance to wear them.

I was very tempted by the blue and cream version below. Alas, they were not in stock when I was ordering (although they did come back in as soon as I had ordered. That's typical right?). I'm also quite partial to the courts which come in three different colourways.

What are your thoughts on the short block-heel? Work-friendly or better left to weekends?

Is bright make-up just for teens?

$
0
0
When I was in my teens, bright eyeshadow was a trend my friends and I followed. I remember wearing a rainbow of shades all at once, or creating my own 'fruit salad' colour combos. Recently, I've been able to relive my youth and wear brighter-than-bright eye colours at hen parties, where dressing up is part of the fun. At a recent 80s-themed hen party I wore apple green eyeshadow from Models Own and at my little sister's tropical-themed bash I went for blue, green and orange eyes.

But day-to-day, I feel like the days of bright eye make-up are well and truly behind me. I'm still all for bright lips - I've currently got tangerine, hot pink, corals and reds and I love them all - but I do tend to keep things toned down when it comes to eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara. A recent advert brought all this to mind. It was Max Factor's Wild Collection ads. You know, the one with a blue-eyed model wearing lurid lime-coloured eyeshadow and suggesting we 'unleash a fierce new look'. Fierce is one word for it.

There is no way I would have been inspired by the advert to go an explore the range, but I'm probably not the target market. I'm nearly 30 and don't have many opportunities to wear such wild make-up. By strange coincidence though, a package turned up a week or so ago, and in it was a selection of products from the very collection I'd been turning my nose up at.

The press material challenged me to 'be fearless and go wild with extreme new eye looks using Max Factor's boldest and most vibrant boutique yet'. So... I gave it a go. And do you know what? It's not as scary as I first thought.

For the above, I used the Wild Shadow Pots (£6.99) in Turquoise Fury and Vicious Purple. Luckily, there wasn't really anything particularly furious or vicious about the shades. They both blended in nicely and the overall effect was colourful, but not OTT; definitely something I would wear again for a night out. I finished the eyes with lashings of the Wild Mega Volume Mascara (£6.99), which is really, really good. The texture is thick and the soft bristles of the wand make it easy to apply a generous amount.

I also tried the Wild Shadow Pencils (£5.99) in Brazen Gold and Vicious Moss on the other eye (then forgot and answered the door to the postman who must have thought I had very unique taste in make-up). The texture of the pencils is meant to be part gel, part eyeshadow and it means they can be used as a liner or shadow. I've not been the biggest fan of these styles of pencils in the past but there does appear to have been a move-in with these. They work well, especially when smudging them around the corners of the eye or lashline. The come in a range of colours and the wones I tried were probably some of the more subtle ones.

All in all, the mascara is definitely the best value and something I would buy. If you ignore the slightly silly names of the eyeshadows and just pick the ones you like the look of then those are pretty good too.

Shop Max Factor Wild Collection at Boots

I'm not sure whether I'll be ditching my neutrals just yet though. I think I've turned into the more classic customer, more interested in taupes, browns and beige, like below...

But when there's a girly night out in the diary I'll consider using this collection to have some fun with my make-up. Below are a couple more looks from Max actor that can be tried with their Wild Collection.

So, do brights have an age limit when it comes to make-up? I think experimentation with colour is something that you do more when you are young. As we grow older, we work out which colours look best on us, but that can make some people scared to try new things. That's why it is unusual to see older women with really bold make-up. My rule as I've got older, is to go for either bold eyes OR bold lips, not both together. It's the same principle as showing cleavage or legs when getting dressed. There are a few things to keep in mind with older skin e.g. older skin tends to work better with matte rather than shimmery shades. I reckon bight nail varnish can work on anyone though, so long as the shade suits your personality.

Not everyone can pull off the Zandra Rhodes look, but if you love a colourful look and it makes you happy then forget about age and work it! Make-up is about expression so it's up to you what you want your look to say.

Big sister bridesmaid duties

A couple of weeks ago my little sister got married at a beautiful boutique B&B in Hastings called The Old Rectory. I was a bridesmaid, along with my other younger sister, and it was the most wonderful weekend; so relaxed but super fun. The bride's 50s-style dress was made to order and featured a pretty sheer polka dot overlay while the groom wore tweed tailoring and a bow-tie. It suited them perfectly

As for my sister and I, we wore navy, polka dot circle dresses from Vivienne of Holloway with big netted petticoats. In our hair we wore polka dot headbands that had been customised with hand-made paper flowers using old maps and sheet music. Our jewellery was from Accessorize, while the bride borrowed pearls from our nan for the big day.

On our feet we wore some vintage-inspired Gitango T-bar heels from Georgia Rose at Sarenza. The tied into the colour theme of maps and music paper flowers beautifully. The funny thing was, we ordered a 3.5 and a 4 and ended up wearing each other's shoes all day and evening. We only noticed our mistake the following day! The bride opted for flat brogues as she's not much of a high-heel gal, but replaced the laces with ribbon for a pretty finishing touch.

This year has definitely been wedding season for me... three down, two to go.

3 ways to wear the pencil skirt

I'm a big fan of pencil skirts and this autumn they've been tipped as a key shape. I own loads of different styles and don't just save them for work - I find myself reaching for this wardrobe staple for special occasions and nights out too. If you're looking for some inspiration for working this flattering skirt style into your wardrobe then take a look below. I've styled three options for different occasions. Which is your favourite look?

5 pencil skirts for the new season

1. Metallic Moment

I was in Zara earlier this week and made a beeline for this gold Skirt, £79.99. With leather also on my list, this skirt ticks that box as well as my current penchant for metallics and despite the price, which is much lower than the leather skirts in some other stores, the feel of the fabric is soft and luxurious. It's definitely a contender for my next payday splurge.

2. Party Perfect

With pencil skirts this pretty there's no reason to wear a dress to a special occasion. This lace skirt from Coast*,  is reduced from £95 to a rather reasonable £45, making it a beautiful-looking bargain. I'd wear it with a silky white or cream shell top for effortless elegance.

3. Luxe Leather

Buttery-soft leather in easy-to-wear black is always a stylish option. This panelled leather pencil skirt, £149, from Autograph at M&S, has textured biker-style stitching at the top and would look stunning with a crisp white shirt or merino knit.

4. A Touch of Tweed

I loved this Tweed Pencil Skirt from M&S Collection so much I bought it this week. The £39.50 price tag is more than justified by the soft-to-the-touch tweed and wool blend fabric, as well as a fabulous fit and high quality lining. It's set to be a favourite for my weekday wardrobe as we head into autumn.

5. The Designer Classic

Cash invested in a classic wardrobe staple is always money well spent. I love the longer length and buckle detailing of this Vivienne Westwood Red Label black skirt*, £318, which give it just enough of a twist on a timeless design.

Sandro or M&S?

Sandro's tube leather sleeve top in navy and black (top left) is a great way to work the leather trend this autumn, but at £165 it's a bit of an investment. If you're on a budget, why not try the Limited Collection option (top right) which is available at M&S for just £35. Yes it's faux leather rather than the real thing, but for an easy seasonal update it's a great choice. Which will it be?

We call it summer, but some days it really doesn't feel like it. This weekend includes the final Bank Holiday for months and we should all be making the very most of the last days of summer but, alas, the forecast is rain. Not great for me as I've got tickets to SW4 Festival on Clapham Common (likely to be more like Clapham lake by the end of  the day). If you're out and about, make sure you're ready for the weather or you could end up looking more soggy than stylish. Light layers under a raincoat mean you'll be dressed for the showers, but also prepared if the sun decides to make an appearance. Let's hope it does.

A quick look outside this morning signalled far better things than this time last week. London appears to be bathing in sunshine, albeit without scorching temperatures. As we move into September thoughts of stocking our autumn wardrobes spring to mind, but there are dresses you can wear now and later to bridge the gap between summer and autumn. Try a chic shirt dress, a flattering style for most figures. My look below was inspired by trawling through vintage markets which is exactly what I wish I was doing today. Alas, I have too many chores, but hopefully you'll be out exploring and making the most of the sunnier outlook.

Shoesday top pick: Georgia Rose Indisco boots

September is the month where sandals give way to shoes, ankle boots and knee-high boots, so it's no wonder that I've got boots on the brain. More on my search for knee-high boots in another post; right now I want to share my new favourite ankle boots with you. We've all seen the impact of androgyny on the catwalks and the High Street, and I'm not always the first to jump on that style bandwagon. However, this season I found myself a pair of boyish boots that swayed me into dabbling with the trend once again.

The Indisco lace-up boots from Georgia Rose at Sarenza give masculine styling a twist with a high-shine, iridescent finish in a choice of three colours. I opted for the dark blue which have almost an oil slick effect. I'll be wearing these with one of my favourite necklaces of the moment, a fab little bejewelled blue number I picked up for just £10 or so at Forever 21 – bargain! The picture above doesn't really do the colour justice, so I photographed them outside to show the blue tones that little bit better.

Monday mood lifter: Roger & Gallet Eau Sublime Or

September is here, and how quickly it seemed to arrive. Sometimes the weather stays sunny into the start of autumn and sometimes it doesn't, but this week's mood lifter is all about extending that summer feeling through fragrance. I'm always on the lookout for new fragrances, mainly because I'm not very loyal to perfumes; I like to mix it up and have a few on the go at once.

I spotted The Roger & Gallet Bois D'Orange fragrance in M&S a couple of weeks ago and it reminded me of another of my favourite beauty discoveries from a few years back - Dior Sweet Sun. Do you remember it? Anyway, Dior's fragrance came in an orange bottle had the most beautiful summery smell, and the Roger & Gallet Eau Sublime Or Bois D'Orange captures that very same mood. There is a whole range of products available in the fragrance, but I went for the Fresh Fragrant Water Golden Shimmer which leaves skin with a subtle sparkle - but in a grown-up way. It's perfect to spray on just before you go out in the evening and would be even more perfect for holidays. If you've already had your summer holiday, don't worry. This fragrance is sure to transport you back to those beachfront walks, and if it doesn't, just book another one; that's what I'm thinking of doing.

The Fresh Fragrant Water sells for £32 for 100ml, which is a bargain in my books. The bottle is beautiful too and features an intricate pattern in lustrous gold. Snap it up over at M&S.

What to wear this weekend...

This weekend I'm being whisked away for a mini break. I have no idea where, although I know we can't be going too far as our departure time is pretty flexible. As we're celebrating - today is my birthday - I'll be wearing something that feels a bit dressed up but that works for day and evening.

With the weather so unpredictable at the moment, I've been relying on my trusty biker jacket to keep me warm and dry. The sun does seem to be making an appearance today though which makes me think it's definitely time to get the very most out of those summery skirts before the weather turns for good.Team them with lightweight tights and ankle boots on cooler days.

Duo riding boots

Every autumn I go looking for a new pair of boots. Even if last year's footwear still fits the bill, I don't feel like the new season has arrived until I've got some new knee-highs or ankle boots to call my own. But the search is not always a fruitful one straight away. For me, it can more time and dedication to the cause than it should, and that's because so many retailers still don't offer much for the curvier lady when it comes to knee-high boots.

I have a wider calf than shops would deem average and I also have shorter legs than many women, seeing as I'm only a couple of inches above 5ft. That's why I was so happy when I discovered Duo a couple of years ago. I've had a few pairs sent to me by the brand, but I've always been happy to recommend them anyway, especially to anyone who is struggling to find the pair that fits them perfectly. It's such a relief to walk into a Duo store and know that there is a pair inside that will fit.

This autumn/winter I opted for the Newton boots below, £195. They feature a quilted panel at the back but a smooth front, with a buckle detail at the side. I've worn these a fair few times now and they are wearing in really nicely, getting more comfortable each time I put them on. The low heel means they're perfect for everyday but teamed with a mini skirt or printed dress they look dressed up enough for post-work drinks.

Black quilted leather riding boots

It does bother me that more brands aren't trying to make buying boots easier for everyone, but I love the Duo concept and I'll go back again and again. There are a few other companies selling boots with calf fittings, but Duo do it without compromising on style, making sure they've got the trends completely covered. Look out for their jewel coloured suede boots and glam party shoes too.

It's also worth mentioning that M&S are championing new stretch zip technology which is a great idea and one that limits the need to have lots of different size variations in stock at once like Duo's concept. I haven't yet tried them on, but I'll be giving them a go next time I'm in store.

Tried and tested: Willow Organic Beauty Serum

Barbary Fig Oil natural anti-ageing ingredient

When it comes to skincare there really is an endless choice of lotions and potions to choose from. Do you go for the biggest brand, the latest scientific developments or natural ingredients? The trend for organic and natural skincare products shows no sign of slowing, and it's given smaller companies the chance to compete with the big names in the beauty arena. More and more of us are willing to try new brands in our quest for ethical products that aren't filled with chemicals.

I recently came across Willow Organic Beauty, the brainchild of Sue Stowell, an interior designer. On moving to the countryside of the New Forest she developed a passion for organic living. It was while she was designing the interior of the award-winning SenSpa that she had the idea to create Willow Organic – she just couldn't find a pampering beauty brand for the spa that was genuinely organic, luxurious and high performance.

Tried and tested

I always like to try beauty products out for myself before covering them here on the blog, so Willow Organic sent me over the Super Serum Oil and Super Firming Serum to put to the test. Serums are a relative newcomer to the beauty mainstream, but I'm converted. The best serums really do make a noticeable difference, and improve the complexion; what's not to love?

Willow beauty organic firming and anti-ageing serums

Super Oil Serum

This hero product is designed to plump out tired skin and restore elasticity. The Rich, luxurious serum melted into the skin leaving my face feeling soft and smooth. My skin appeared dewy and glowing, rather than greasy, while the scent is natural and woody, but not unpleasant. I actually found it worked really well on the backs of my hands too – an area of the body that can show signs of ageing. The ingredients have been chosen to protect the skin from environmental damage which makes it the perfect product for living in London. This serum contains 99.8% organic ingredients and is suitable for all skin types and ages. Price for 20ml: £90.

Super Firming Serum

If you're looking to give your skin a treat this is the perfect choice; it's designed to restore radiance, replenish essential moisture and reduce the appearance of fine lines. The serum has a light texture which is easy to apply and sinks into the skin for an invisible finish. After applying, my skin felt silky smooth and velvety soft and I felt like this would definitely be a product I'd wear every day under make-up. The scent reminded me of citrus fruits – fresh and subtle – and was nicer than the Super Oil Serum above. It's made up of 95% organic ingredients. Price for 50ml: £80.

Barbary Fig Miracle Oil

Both of the serums I trialled from The Willow Organic range feature a potent anti-ageing ingredient made from the Barbary Fig (also known as Prickly Pear), a cactus fruit found in arid conditions in North Africa. The fig is able to maintain its cell hydration levels in the dry conditions which is why it's perfect for skincare products. The oil is often exported from Morocco and proves difficult and expensive to source. You can read more about the fig oil in this article from The Independent. However, the Barbary Fig Oil is reported to be 150% richer in essential fatty acids than Argan Oil (another of-the-moment ingredient from the same region) and also has the benefits of numerous antioxidants and vitamin E.

All in all, these products were definitely luxurious, but they have price tags to match. If you'd like to try the brand without breaking the bank then there are 15 products in the range, all of which feature Barbary Fig Oil. I like the sound of the Brightening and Balancing Toner, £22 for 50ml, Gentle Exfoliator, £38 for 50ml, and Luxury Conditioning Lip Balm, £24. All products are free from parabens, sodium laurel sulphates and mineral oil, as well as being Soil Association certified organic.

Borrowed from the boys: monk strap shoes

Androgyny was, for a long time, a look that I just couldn't get on board with. I have curves and just felt silly wearing boyish clothes, plus they aren't cut to flatter me in the same way that a 50s-style fit-and-flare dress is. But footwear is one area I can definitely make an exception. I love a pair of power flats and have been breaking out my glitter brogues from Mellow Yellow lately – and getting lots of compliments too. But the success of brogues has paved the way for a newcomer – the monk strap shoe.

GQ call monk strap shoes the dressiest footwear option for guys, but the way to wear them right now is with anything you like. Dressed down is definitely OK. A great pair of jeans or checked trousers are just as fashionable a partner as a sharply tailored suit, perhaps even more so. They can come with one strap or two, but I prefer going all out with the double buckle option. And anything the guys can do, we can do better...

What to wear this weekend: October storm

Last night I was out late and got caught in a torrential downpour, and I was not at all dressed for it. If the latest weather reports are accurate, we could be in for even more of a bashing, with howling winds and rain set to arrive on Sunday and Monday in the South of England. Choosing an outfit for these days isn't easy, but it's all about being prepared. That means a hood is a must: umbrellas are useless when rain is combined with gusts of wind of up to 80 miles per hour. We've all seen the umbrella casualties when people forget this fact.

So, this weekend I'll be wearing something like my outfit suggestion below. If there's one thing we all need right now it's a pair of grown-up rain boots, and if you can spare the cash, the pair pictured from Love Moschino at Sarenza are my current favourites.

What to wear for a Bonfire Night gathering

Wrapping up warm and being stylish can definitely go hand in hand. At this time of year, and on Bonfire Night in particular, the coat really does have the starring role – that's what people are going to see.

I've decided to go to Crystal Palace's firework display on 5 November, and I'll be off to the pub beforehand. I always feel better in a skirt or dress when I'm out with friends, so, for my outfit, I'd opt for a nice little circle skirt teamed with a cosy knit and a feminine coat with faux fur trim. I love the shape of the one featured above from Miss Selfridge which highlights the waist for a super-flattering silhouette. Don't forget a great pair of gloves too. I prefer leather ones as I find them a better fit and a lot warmer too.

Where will you be celebrating Bonfire Night this year?

Lilac trend: love it or hate it?

For spring/summer 2014, sugary pastels were more prominent on the catwalks than ever before. It was easy to predict; just look at the massive popularity of blush pink coats this season. Soft, feminine pastels can look very elegant, but they can also look a little childish for us grown-ups. It's sometimes difficult to get the balance just right.

One brand that nailed the look was Burberry. The Burberry Prorsum SS14 collection featured the prettiest palette of lilac, lemon, pink and mint. The mix of blouses, pencil skirts, lace, cashmere and coats was perfect in creating a ladylike look that felt fresh and new.

The Prabul Garung SS14 collection also featured lilac, and Amy Adams was spotted last month wearing one of the label's looks top-to-toe on the red carpet.

While I love a splash of colour, I've always had an aversion to the colour lilac. My parents painted my bedroom walls purple as a child and, although I may well have asked for it at the time, any enthusiasm for the colour soon wore off once I had to wake up to it every day.

The designers have shown us how to do lilac well, but can the British High Street make it work too? As yet I haven't made a clothing purchase. However, one area where I am willing to give this purple hue a try is beauty. Lilac nails or a silvery, soft purple eye shadow can look really lovely. I also wouldn't say no to a beautiful set of lilac lingerie. A coat might be on trend right now, but will it stand the test of time? I'm not convinced. Choose the right pieces though and this trend is sure to transform your look.
